Rental and Purchase Terms for Æventyr1 AS
1. General
1.1 These terms apply to the rental and purchase of winter clothing and equipment ("Items") from Æventyr1 AS ("the Company") located at Markedsgata 6, 9510 Alta, Norway.
1.2 By renting or purchasing items from the Company, the customer ("Customer") agrees to these terms in full.
1.3 The Customer accepts these terms by placing an order on the Company’s website.
2. Definition of Parties
2.1 The lessor or seller is Æventyr1 AS, hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", "the Company", or "Æventyr1".
2.2 The lessee is the person listed as the renter or buyer in the order, hereinafter referred to as "the lessee", "the customer", "you", or "your".
2.3 "Rental items" include equipment, machines, and other items rented via Æventyr1’s website.
2.4 "Delivery method/service points" refer to delivery or return at a store, kiosk, or home delivery.
3. Payment, Deposit, and Prices
3.1 Payment is made via Visa or Mastercard through our payment provider DIBS, which meets the highest security standards. The rental agreement is considered entered into when the lessee makes payment at the time of ordering.
3.2 A fixed deposit fee of NOK 500 is required for all rentals and must be paid at the time of ordering along with the rental fee.
3.3 The deposit will be refunded to the Customer upon returning the items in good condition. The Company reserves the right to withhold all or part of the deposit to cover damages, late returns, or other breaches of these terms.
3.4 All prices include value-added tax (VAT). The total cost is displayed before ordering and includes all costs associated with the rental or purchase.
3.5 In case of significant pricing errors, the Company reserves the right to unilaterally amend, delete, or reject orders, even after the Customer has received an order confirmation. Such errors must be corrected and communicated to the Customer within a reasonable time.
4. Condition of Rental Items
4.1 The Company undertakes to deliver high-quality rental items in operational condition. The equipment is checked and maintained before and after rental.
4.2 The Customer is responsible for damages or loss during the rental period unless caused by technical faults or defects. The Customer must inspect the rental items before use and notify the Company of any discrepancies.
5. Damages
5.1 All damages, technical faults, or accidents during the rental period must be reported immediately to rental@aeventyr.no, including cases of theft.
5.2 In cases of misuse or negligence, the Company may retain the deposit and claim additional amounts to cover repair, service, or replacement costs. Replacement costs are as follows:
- Adult/child winter suit: NOK 3000
- Adult/child boots: NOK 2500
- Standard mittens: NOK 500
- Extreme mittens: NOK 1500
6. Use of Rental Items
6.1 Use of rental items is at your own risk. Users must be over 18 years old.
6.2 The Customer is responsible for the correct and safe use of the equipment. User manuals and safety procedures are provided by the Company and must be followed.
7. Accessories
7.1 Accessories must generally be rented or purchased separately when placing an order.
7.2 Personal accessories and consumables are sold but not rented out.
8. Customer Rights and Obligations
8.1 The Customer must be 18 years or older and provide accurate information when creating a user account.
8.2 The user account is personal. Any suspected misuse must be reported to the Company.
8.3 The Customer must return rental items within the agreed time and using the agreed method.
9. Order Changes
9.1 Changes must be agreed upon in writing with the Company. A change fee of NOK 300 may apply.
10. Delivery and Return
10.1 Delivery and return occur as specified in the order confirmation.
10.2 The Customer is responsible for rental items until they are returned to the Company.
11. Right of Withdrawal on Purchases
11.1 The right of withdrawal applies only to purchases, not rentals. Notice of withdrawal must be given within 14 days of receipt.
12. Intellectual Property Rights
All content on the website is protected under copyright law.
13. Privacy
13.1 The Company processes personal data in accordance with applicable laws.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Norwegian law, with Oslo District Court as the agreed legal venue.
15. Changes
15.1 The Company reserves the right to amend these terms at any time.
